Exú of Umbanda is not Exú Orixá. Because? Exú in Umbanda are entities or spirits of light whose mission is to help their protégés giving them guidance in the form of queries of divination, since these incorporated in their mediuns respond with truth what the querent wants to know in order to warn him of some evil or good that is about to happen, with the intention of preventing some evil or showing some good in his ways (his life).

In Candomblé these Exus that are not Orixás are known as Ecuru or Ekuru (own Eguns ancestrais) that in the Candomblé already belong to another typical of cult, in Africa there is a cult typical only for this type of spirit (The cult to the Eguns or Elesé Egum ). So as you can see, Exú Orixá does not manifest in Exú Tours in Umbanda, however, some candomblé houses worship Exús Ekurus (entities), since some devotees have already come before starting inside the cult of the Orixá (candomblé) of the religion of Umbanda , then they brought these entities who sometimes do not want to stop giving their consultations and directions to their devotees.
